International Youth Skills Day

15 Jul 2026 Lamrin Tech Skills University

Overview

Rotary Club Rupnagar organized a *Campus Tour of Lamrin Tech Skill University* for about *100 students of Classes 11 & 12* from three schools namely GMN Senior Secondary School. DAV Senior Secondary School. Khalsa Senior Secondary School. The students were made aware of the *importance of skill-based education* and were encouraged to start thinking about their *future careers in today’s competitive world*. They visited various skill departments, asked questions, and showed great curiosity to learn more. They were advised to *never stop learning*, because knowledge and skills are the greatest assets one can possess. The choices they make today will shape the opportunities they create tomorrow. We are grateful to *PP Dr. B.S. Satyal, Pro Vice Chancellor, Lamrin Tech Skill University & Chairperson of the event*, for his enriching presentation on skill-based education. Special thanks to *Prof. A.S. Chawla, Vice Chancellor* and *Prof. Ashutosh Sharma, Executive Dean* for hosting us and organizing the entire campus tour. Thankful to all Rotarians who joined: *PP Dr. Bhim Sain, PP Kulwant Singh, PP Gurpreet Singh, PP Amar Raj Saini, Rtn. Dr. Ankur Wahi, Rtn. Arina Chanana, Rtn. Neeta Chadha, Rtn. Vikram Bhanot, and Rtn. Rohit Trehan ,President Gagan Saini and Secretary Ashok Chadha. *IMPACT:* The visit gave students *real exposure to modern skills and career options* beyond traditional academics. It helped them *understand industry-relevant courses* and sparked interest in vocational learning. The interaction motivated students to *become self-reliant, goal-oriented, and career-focused* from an early stage. It also built their *confidence to ask questions and explore new fields*. At Rotary, we believe *empowering youth through education and skills* is one of the best investments for a stronger society. The day proved to be both *interesting and fruitful*, giving students ideas and direction to shape a better future for themselves
