Copilots Care- Steps to safe motherhood Under the Rotary focus area of _Maternal and Child Health_, Rotary club Roopnagar Co-Pilots organized an impactful awareness workshop on Antenatal Physiotherapy on 9th June 2026 in collaboration with Civil Hospital, Roopnagar. Renowned Physiotherapist Dr. Anika Aggarwal was the keynote speaker. She emphasized the vital role of antenatal exercises in ensuring a smooth pregnancy with reduced body pains, backache, and common gestational discomforts. Dr. Anika explained that regular prenatal exercises significantly lower the chances of C-section delivery and promote natural, easier childbirth.Gynaecologist Dr. Neeraj also gave her valuable support The session was highly interactive. Dr. Anika demonstrated 10 essential exercises covering neck, shoulders, legs, and breathing techniques.40 Pregnant women from underprivileged sections actively participated and performed the exercises under her guidance. She also held one-on-one consultations to address individual concerns. To ensure continuity, Co-Pilots distributed printed handouts with step-by-step exercise guides and provided nutritious refreshments to all attendees. "Rotary Club Roopnagar Copilots organized a fun-filled workshop Fold, Neat and Tidy for grades 5-7 at Arya Pathshala, Ropar on March 20, 2026, after they wrote their last exam. The students were divided into 6 groups of 8 students each and were given a demo on folding clothes like socks, undergarments, sweaters, jackets, jeans, and T-shirts by Copilots. They learned the skill joyfully and enthusiastically, picking up tips on organizing their belongings and helping their mothers with organising family clothes. The pocket method of folding clothes made them realize how it keeps clothes tidy, compact, easily visible, secure, occupying less space in almirahs, drawers, and traveling bags. It?s a lifesaver for travelling and helps keep almirahs and drawers organized. No more "mumma, wheres my second sock?" moments! As part of this initiative, they donated 30 earthen pitchers to their neighbors to promote healthy hydration during summers. President Partner Vandana Sharma highlighted the benefits of Matka water, including its natural cooling effect, maintenance of waters natural pH, and presence of essential minerals like calcium, magnesium,iron and keeps body metabolism intact . She also emphasized that Matkas are eco-friendly, have anti microbial properties ,are sustainable, and, pocket-friendly Their use saves electricity and promotes pottery, which aids in rural empowerment. In contrast, fridge water can be harmful as it may contain chemicals from plastic containers, alter waters natural pH, and harbor bacteria. Rotary club roopnagar welcomed our little champ teghbir who came from mountain elbrus summit. Master teghbir is the son of our fellow rotarian sukhinder singh and rotarian dr. Manpreet kaur.
