Rotary Club Roopnagar Copilots celebrated Durga Ashtami on 30 Sep 2025 by organising the , Project Maa Durgas Aashirwad for Slum Kanyas. 21 slum girls from different locations in the age group 1 to 10 were given new set of clothes,a red chunri and a hamper of eatables.This brought joy to both the girls and their parents and emotional fulfillment to the copilots This heartwarming initiative combined the tradition of honoring Kanyas as embodiments of Goddess Durga with compassion In doing so the copilots spread joy,upheld cultural values and strengthened community ties with slum families The event was sponsored by Copilot Vandana Sharma, copilot Sangeeta Sood and Rtn Kiran walia
